Metal detectors for sale

Author: Office

The first ever commercially available metal detectors for sale were manufactured by Dr. Gerhard Fisher in his Fisher Lab. Units were sold as early as early thirties in the twentieth century, the product was called Metallascope and was a heavy clad machine with vacuum tubes and big batteries, but actually easy to operate.
A real improvement to the patent was made by a Polish engineer, who was in Great Britain during the World War II. Jozef Kosacki projected a mine detecting device for the British army; he did not even want to take possession of the patent, but gave it as a present to the British, apparently thankful for their help and assistance to the Polish people during the war. Over hundred thousand units were manufactured and used during the war, some further developed units of this version were used up until the Gulf war in 1991. Many of the units were sold as surplus after the WWII; these units are still very popular with some treasure hunters.
It is not evident which of these two units started the hobby movement of metal detection aficionados, but from that time on, many people started to employ metal detectors in order to search for hidden or lost treasures in the soil. Other professionals beside mine sweepers, who use this invention, are archeologists, ore prospectors, utility companies tracing buried pipes, geologists and security professionals.
Industrial metal detectors are being sold to companies manufacturing food, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and cosmeceuticals, textile, packaging materials, plastic of all kind and for all purposes, beverages and chemicals.
With current security concerns, stemming from the terror scare and the proclaimed war against terror, many metal detectors are being and have been installed in all government and official buildings. Since the Oklahoma school shootings, metal detectors are mandatory in all schools and educational institutions.
Private enthusiasts hunting for coins, relics or even nuggets have a wide variety of metal detectors on sale; there are several companies, besides the previously mentioned Fisher Labs, engaging in the manufacture of high quality metal detectors for personal use. Some of the more prominent companies are White's metal detectors, Minelab Electronics, Tesoro Electronics, C. Scope, including the Bill Wyman Signature Detector, Bounty Hunter, Multi Power Digital, Titan Metal Detectors, Cobra Water and Land detectors, Garrett Metal Detectors, DetectorPro and Predator Metal Detectors.
The quality and the power of metal detectors vary widely, the idea is to start with a smaller, easier to use machine and after some experience and knowledge has been assembled, to choose a more expensive, more powerful machine, a better fit for the hunter's needs.
